HISTORY OF THE FORUM
The first Creative Business Forum was held in September 2020 at Gorky Park in Moscow during the Russian Creativity Week Festival and Forum. More than 250,000 people attended the festival’s events, and its broadcasts were viewed over 6 million times.
The Forum has become an effective platform for a trilateral dialogue on the creative economy, with representatives of all creative industries, business, and the government coming together on a single platform for the first time in Russia’s history.
Over the course of three days, more than 70 experts took part in the Forum as speakers, including: First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko, Agency for Strategic Initiatives General Director Svetlana Chupsheva, Presidential Grants Fund General Director Ilya Chukalin, Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin, Federal Agency for Tourism Director Zarina Doguzova, Gazprom-Media Holding General Director Alexander Zharov, TV presenter and journalist Vladimir Pozner, director Timur Bekmambetov, Match TV General Producer Tina Kandelaki, V-A-C Foundation CEO Teresa Mavica, Forbes Editorial Director Nikolay Uskov, and many others.
The Forum’s international partner was INTERNI Designer’s Week Milano. The event was also supported by Design Miami, Venice Biennale, Art Basel, and Belgrade Design Week.
The Creative Business Forum’s success showed that there is a need for a permanent trilateral platform to discuss various aspects of the creative economy. In response to the growing demand from the creative community, the Forum’s organizers decided to hold it on a regular basis throughout the year as part of the Roscongress Foundation’s major events.
The Creative Business Forum is organized by the Innosocium Foundation, the social platform of the Roscongress Foundation (innosocium.org).
The strategic partners of the Creative Business Forum at SPIEF 2021 are the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and Gazprom-Media Holding.
The Forum is supported by the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The Innosocium Foundation, the social platform of the Roscongress Foundation, was established to facilitate a constructive dialogue between business, government, and civil society.
The Innosocium Foundation’s activities primarily aim to develop culture, creative industries, education, youth initiatives, women’s leadership, and social communications.
The Foundation’s main objectives are to provide practical support for priority areas of social development, create and promote the social agenda at the communication platforms of the Roscongress Foundation, implement charitable initiatives, enhance the effectiveness of NPOs and corporate social responsibility, and bolster international cooperation as part of the sustainable development agenda.
